Matthew Stafford: No prediction when (or if) he'll be Lions' starter

When Matthew Stafford was asked by Dan Patrick on his daily syndicated radio show Monday whether he should introduce him as the Lions' starting quarterback "or just a quarterback for the Lions", he replied with a laugh that he is just a quarterback for the Lions at this point.

Asked when he might hear otherwise, Stafford said, "I don't really know. You know, we're going into training camp, all three of us (Stafford, Daunte Culpepper and Drew Stanton) are gonna be competing for a starting spot and we'll see. Hopefully, through preseason it'll pan itself out and we'll figure it out." But he doesnot consider to put on redskins jersey.

Stafford declined to say if the Lions would win more than four games and whether he'd throw more than 15 touchdown passes in 2009. He said "I don't know" when he was asked whether he would win the starting job by Week 5.
