On Wednesday, the Tennessee Titans defensive tackle Jason Jones received a fine of $5,000 from the NFL for unnecessarily going into a scrum during last Sunday's 34-31 loss to the Houston Texans.
The scrum happened during the fourth quarter of the Sunday’s game. An official said Jones threw a punch on the Texans’ sideline and then ejected him from the game field. However, both Jones and Titans Coach Jeff Fisher did not admit that there was a punch. Fisher said Monday that he couldn't see a punch thrown in the coach's film.
The defensive tackle himself said after he received the fine that he did not know what to expect since he had no experience of being fined before and he had not made any mind whether to appeal.
