Mischievous Bengals WR was fined $20,000 for having fun on field

The Cincinnati Bengals’ most mischievous player, wide receiver Chad Ochocinco, was fined $20,000 for playing with one $1 on field while playing against the Baltimore Ravens.

It was during the third quarter of the game, while an official was reviewing one of Ochocinco’s catches, the receiver held a dollar bill in his right hand at his side and pretended that he was trying to bride the official. He did not actually give the bill to the official but the league just did not like his behavior. They reprimanded Ochocinco for taking the dollar bill onto the field and fined him $20,000.

Ray Anderson, the league's executive vice president of football operations sent Ochocinco a letter that said: "The very appearance of impropriety is not acceptable. Your conduct was unprofessional and unbecoming an NFL player."

According to Anderson, Ochocinco violated more than one league rules, including rules prohibiting abusive, threatening or insulting language or gestures toward officials and rules prohibiting players wearing NFL jerseys from taking items onto the field that are not part of their uniform.
