Browns WR Cribbs may stay in Cleveland with contract issue settled

The Cleveland Browns Josh Cribbs, whose current position is at wide receiver, is now more confident in his future with the Browns. What he said recently has changed to “I would love to play for the Browns” from “it was unlikely” that he will play any game for the Browns.

The last game he is to play this season is nothing about the Browns. He will put on Pro Bowl jersey to play for the AFC team this Sunday. He said it was unlikely he would play with the Browns when it seemed unlikely that the team would offer him a $1.4 million contract offer for next season.

Things changed as the Browns have had a new president. Cribbs indicated that new president Mike Holmgren has reached out to him and “wants to get something done soon.” And actually Cribbs would like to play for the Browns as long as the contract situation is worked out.

Holmgren’s better to get something done as soon as possible. The Browns is not a good team at all, starting this season 1-11, and the team needs multitalented players like Cribbs badly. Holding the NFL record for career kickoff return touchdowns with eight, Cribbs will at keep hopes alive to frustrating Browns fans if he stays in Cleveland.
